No Parking

I couldn’t resist drawing a broken down bus alongside a no parking sign. I struggled with how to draw the fence but in the end it made it a little easier to draw they are ready made grid lines. In architecture we look at lifecycles for building, what is the proposed life for this building, in this case I looked at the blocks under the wheels and padlock to the door and started to think about lifecycles for other things.

We are seeing fewer and fewer old vehicles on the road which is good from an emissions perspective but the lifecycle of vehicles is much less. This same point can be expanded to household appliances etc. We have a gain in more efficiency but we are creating a lot of waste. If we are going through product quicker should they be designed to be recycled more and that process followed through.
